Self Love & Style Tips for Spring!
Spring is in the air!
Ok so it might not feel like spring yet in the Midwest, but it is just around the corner for most! We want to help you feel your best this spring season with tips for enhancing both your self-love and style :) In this blog post we are including suggestions to support your heart, body, mind, and soul; as well as style tips and previews of our new arrivals!
1.) Repeat this Affirmation:
Repeat this affirmation everyday for a week: "I am a beautiful person, inside and out!" You might think it sounds silly to do this, but try it out and see where it takes you! Whenever you catch yourself thinking about yourself or someone else in a negative way, repeat this affirmation back to yourself. The judgement we place on others is only a reflection of our judgment on ourselves, and the more we think positive about ourselves the more love and appreciation we have to share with others around us!
2.) Take a Walk!
Take a walk! Go solo or grab a companion such as your pet(s), children, spouse, friends, or other family members. Taking walks not only gets our circulation going in our bodies, but is also creates the perfect environment for quality time with a loved one or alone time to go inward with thoughts.
3.) Journal Writing:
Journal writing is one of the BEST ways to support your mind! Some find this activity difficult, as it can challenge you to really process deep matters that are going on within; however, journaling can be used to express those deep matters in a safe place. There are many ways that you can write in your journal, but today we are sharing one specific way to redirect negative feelings and express matters on your heart and mind. If you don't have a journal of your own, we highly suggest getting one for your self-care. You can grab one here on our website, or at our location at Glenbrook Mall, or you can find one at a local store near you and find one that speaks to your heart :) In the meantime, grab some scrap paper and write out 3 things you are grateful for everyday (morning or night). Expressing gratitude has the ability to shift stress and anxiety, and it can make a huge impact on your daily well-being!
